Dairy farmers to stop milk supply to Mumbai, demanding increase in subsidy

Mumbai, Jul 07, 2018: Lok Sabha MP and Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) leader Raju Shetti announced that Maharashtra dairy farmers will not supply milk to Mumbai from July 16 onwards, on Saturday according to business-standard.com.
Addressing mediapersons, Shetti said, “We are halting our supply of milk in Mumbai from July 16 taking this decision after the government failed to fulfill our demands.” Shetti has been demanding subsidy on milk for Maharashtra dairy farmers and settlement of arrears for sugarcane farmers on behalf of dairy farmers.
